Little Steps Classes

Girls:
Should wear ballet tights, a bodysuit of their own choice (colour and style) and a ballet skirt either attached or separate. Pink ballet slippers. Hair should be pulled back off face in either a bun, braid or ponytail.

Boys:
Black shorts, leggings or stretch pants and a long black or white T shirt, White socks and black ballet or jazz shoes.

Girls Regular Classes:

Ballet: 
Students should wear ballet tights, a bodysuit of their own choice ( colour and style) and a ballet skirt. Pink Ballet slippers are required. Hair in a ballet bun.

Jazz/Tap/Modern including Combo Classes:
Students should wear a bodysuit of their own choice along with dance shorts or leggings or yoga pants. Black Jazz/Tap dance shoes and/or pink Ballet slippers please. Modern students may wear “foot undies” (a type of foot covering) or bare feet.

Hair must be pulled back off face. Hair should be in a bun for ballet and can be in a ponytail, bun or braid for their other styles.

Hip Hop:
Clean indoor sneakers are needed. Baggy street clothes can be worn for this class. Hair should be pulled back off face with no loose hair.

Boys Regular Classes:

Ballet :
Black shorts, leggings or stretch pants and a long black or white T shirt.

Jazz/Hip Hop/Tap :
Athletic wear such track pants or shorts and a T shirt. 

Performance Program

Female students in Programs 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 should wear a BLACK bodysuit and suitable tights (Pink for ballet) along with shorts, leggings, warm ups etc.


Male students should wear black ballet tights and white T shirt for Ballet and black dance pants/shorts and black t-shirt for all other styles.


PP6 and 7 students may wear bodysuits of any colour for their classes or may wear tight fitting, appropriate clothing for days when they do not have ballet/pointe. No crop tops in dance class.


Dancers should wear loose fitting clothing for hip hop but can wear colours and patterns.

Dancers must have black jazz shoes, black tap shoes, black hip hop sneakers and pink ballet shoes (canvas or leather are fine). Students will be informed by their pointe teacher when they may purchase pointe shoes.

Hair must always be pulled up into a bun for ballet, and can be in a bun, ponytail or braid for their other classes.

This will be strictly enforced in the 2023/24 season and dancers who are not dressed appropriately for class or have messy hair will be asked to sit out.
