Julianne Taylor
Julianne is a grade 12 student at Holy Heart of Mary Highschool and has been taking dance classes with Marie Steffen since the age of 2.
While she has a special love for Modern and Hiphop she has also has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, and Latin jazz. Julianne is currently enrolled in Performance Program 7, advance classes and part of the Senior Competition Team at Steffen dance.
Aside from dance classes, Julianne loves to perform. She has been apart of numerous musicals and dance shows such as Peter MacDonald Productions “Oliver!” “Scrooge” and “Matilda!”. Best Kind Productions “How Do You Get to Jelly Bean Row?”. Kittiwake Dance Theatre’s “The Nutcracker” and “Peter Pan”. She has also had the amazing opportunity to perform as a dancer with Sheila Williams, and won the DTAN student choreography award in 2022.
Julianne has been accepted to prestigious international training programs including the Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago and is travelling to New York this Summer to train at The Joffrey Ballet School’s Summer Program (Jazz and Contemporary Stream).
Julianne has loved teaching and sharing her passion of dance since she was little, which led her to become a teaching assistant at the age of 9. She is thrilled to be able to share her knowledge of dance through teaching and competition team choreography and can’t wait to see you all in the 2024-2025 season!
